Aliso Viejo, CA, March 16, 2005 – XsunX, Inc. (OTC BB: XSNX), developer of Power Glass™ -- an innovative solar technology that allows glass windows to produce electricity from the power of the sun, announced today that it has launched Phase III of its Power Glass™ development program. The Company is expanding its R&D capabilities by adding new process development equipment and technical expertise in key research areas of thin-films and laser process development.
“Over the last year we’ve made progress in the development of transparent thin-film solar cells, expanded our intellectual property assets, and added key manufacturing techniques,” stated Tom Djokovich, CEO of XsunX. “Our plan is to now use this next phase of development to finalize a licensable process by combining the on-going results of our development efforts into the manufacturing process line.”
The Company believes that a reel-to-reel manufacturing technique that it licensed last year may lower manufacturing costs for the production of flexible solar cell structures on rolls of thin-film plastics. The Company plans to use this next phase of product development to integrate the reel-to-reel manufacturing technique into the Power Glass process.
Based in Aliso Viejo, California, XsunX is the developer of Power Glass - an innovative solar technology that allows glass windows to produce electricity from the power of the sun. This proprietary process is intended to allow manufacturers to apply a transparent and photovoltaic glazing to glass and other transparent substrates. When XsunX glazing is exposed to light, the light energy is converted into electrical energy for use as a power source. XsunX believes that its solar electric glazing technology has a number of major market opportunities in the worldwide architectural glass, optical film and plastics markets.
