Good morning,
First of all, we want to thank all of the investors who have sent us encouraging emails supporting our efforts to bring to the market our exciting new technology, CIGSolar™. This week’s update, while brief, marks an important milestone for our ongoing assembly and quality control program. With the system entering the final stages of assembly, our efforts are focused on ensuring that the CIGSolar co-evaporator is configured according to design and meets the rigorous criteria that our customers are anticipating for this new system.
Mr. Robert Wendt, our CTO, who helped to develop and build commercial CIGS cell productions systems during his years at Global Solar, has done a great job of shepherding our next generation CIGSolar coevaporation technology through process and design stages to the final stages of assembly. As we ready and install the various systems into the tool, Robert is working with our vendors during this important phase to ensure fit, function, and systems integration.
We have been and are continuing to work with vendors to complete the installation of components and will be taking the system through various tests such as vacuum leak down tests, heating systems tests, tests to ensure fully integrated material handling throughout the system, and systems control tests. Each of these systems performs different tasks, but must work in unison with our CIGSolar coevaporation technology to allow our process to execute as intended. Robert’s hands-on involvement through these critical stages and his extensive experience in successful CIGS production is a welcomed asset.

And, ending on a positive industry note, the market demand for less expensive alternatives to the use of silicon has intensified over the last year. With CIGSolar offering to provide this much needed solution we are excited to be working to bring the new technology to market at such an important time in the development of the solar industry.
